      Existing ratings are not impacted

Scope Ratings today updates its Counterparty Risk Methodology. Scope’s existing ratings of structured finance instruments, covered bonds and project finance instruments are not affected.

The main updates are editorial changes, clarifications and a restructuring of the document to enhance readers’ comprehension.

Scope’s Counterparty Risk Methodology should be read in combination with the General Structured Finance Rating Methodology, the Covered Bond Rating Methodology and the General Project Finance Rating Methodology, along with complimentary methodologies that are asset class specific.
