Scope economists recognised by Focus Economics 2025 awards

Scope’s economists have been recognised by Focus Economics for a record 28 analyst awards for 2025, exceeding the previous high in 2024.

This year’s awards (Figure 1) reflect the growing breadth alongside precision of our macro-economic forecasting across both advanced and emerging markets.

Awards for this year reflect the second place overall among 66 forecasters for forecasts on the US economy, an assessment that has proven crucial during an election year as the US economy continues to drive global economic and credit dynamics. Also included are overall country-level awards on Georgia and Malta, markets where Scope has been highly involved, as well as top rankings on several country-specific forecast categories.

Our sincere thanks as usual to the organisers. We look forward to our continuing participation on Focus Economics’ experts panel.

*The Scope Macroeconomic Council brings together credit opinions from ratings teams across multiple issuer classes: sovereign and public sector, financial institutions, corporates, structured finance and project finance.
